As leaders, we need a place to get centered and clear as a human and individual before we can show up as our best self + stay focused on what matters + guide our people, projects and missions in ways that both support the goals we are working to achieve together and the wellbeing of the humans doing the work.
Because burnout and overwhelm shouldn’t be the cost of doing meaningful work.
It’s been an intense year – and as we return from summer mindset, move through back to school, and get ourselves (and others) focused on the last 3 months of the year, we could all use a space to take a breath and take a beat to:
- see the progress already made – and recognize how much we’ve already accomplished, plus harvest the momentum already here
- reveal what’s creating pressure – self-induced or placed on us, so we can discern what we have the power to shift now to prevent burnout and overwhelm later
- refocus our energy, time and resources – so effort given matches benefit created, in all realms of our lives
- set a focused, flexible, sustainable pace that supports a strong finish and a replenishing December
Without a pause in place, it’s too easy to react to the intensity in the system, pushing through to December like a marathon, and as a result crash ourselves and others into burnout. So we end the year depleted, get swept into holiday pressures, and instead of starting the new year refreshed with energy reserves, we return still depleted, starting the new year in deficit.
There is a different, wiser way – we just need to create space to see it, and put structures in place to support it. This is the purpose of the “Power Pause”: an intentional leadership practice that prevents burnout and over-functioning, and gives us permission and clarity to make choices that lead to a sustainable pace where we can both achieve and receive.
This gathering marks the start of a season-long series with JLPAMP, and the Every Woman All Things national initiative, building toward next spring’s Bloom Retreat in April 2027
Open to JLPAMP members and the broader community. Space limited to 25 women.
