Feminine Leadership Archetype #5: The Advocate: Standing for Our Part & Our People, Without Burning Out
Feminine Power Time: The Advocate – Standing for Our Part & Our People, Without Burning Out
Feminine Leadership Archetype #5 of 8
The world is flooding us with things to respond to. The Advocate cuts through the overwhelm and brings us deeper to find clarity on: What is mine to do? And what do I ‘do’, in ways that matter? What do I need to stay centered and sustained so I can keep my light bright vs. burning out.
In this episode, we welcome in The Advocate archetype – sitting at the heart line alongside the Catalyst (coming next). She carries what’s called the “Sword of Loving Truth”: the fierce, grounded capacity to stand for what matters without losing your center, without rescuing, or sacrificing yourself in the process.
We need this energy now more than ever.
Deeply connected to source energy – mind, body, heart and spirit – she can show us how to cultivate energy and focus it in ways that cut through the overwhelm, illusions and chaos to touch and penetrate the heart of the matter, and get through the clutter to the hearts of humans.
Here’s a partial transmission of the Advocate … notice what resonates…
I stand for you when you cannot stand for yourself. I stand with you when you need a voice to speak for you, someone who has your best interest at heart. I stand in loving truth for you, without needing to fix or save you.
As I stand with you, your power within awakens and strengthens. What I speak and embody for you is a reflection of what is within you, because my stand comes from unconditional love. Its expression opens the way for you to stand in your power and presence without apology.
I am not here to create followers or make you dependent upon me. I am here to stand for you until you can stand on your own — self empowered, embodied from the heart.
As you gain the internal strength to wield your own sword of loving truth, embodied in your full spectrum of power and presence, you will do the same for others.
I also stand for myself in the same way — for the parts of me that too need the fierce hearted, pure love of an advocate from within.
Why this matters now
We are in an “epochal transition” – not a light switch moment, but a great turning that asks something of each of us. And if you’ve been feeling tired, heart-wrenched, overwhelmed by all there is to respond to, or paralyzed about where to actually put your energy – know you’re not alone.
The advocate in us can get distorted when we try to take it all on, when we want something more for others than they want for themselves, when we sacrifice ourselves for the mission, or when we insert our will into situations that aren’t ours to control. What’s needed isn’t doing more. It’s knowing and focusing and acting on what is ours to do and understand — fiercely, devotedly, sustainably — from the heart.
We will explore:
- What the Advocate archetype is and why her energy is essential at this turning time
- The shadows of the Advocate: self-sacrifice, the rescuer/martyr pattern, wanting more for others than they want for themselves, and inserting our will
- The superpowers we can tap into: commitment, devotion, speaking truth from the heart, and the Torus of Love
- #NotOnMyWatch, #OnMyThread, and #NotMineToDo — a practical three-part process to focus your advocate energy so you can act where you have power and stop draining yourself on what isn’t yours
- Self-advocacy — stand for yourself with the same fierce grace you offer others, why impeccable self-care is not optional right now, getting clear on what you need to replenish your heart and spirit + restore resources
- Staying informed without becoming overwhelmed — the power of having people in your life who carry different threads than yours, so you can stay connected to what matters without having to track everything yourself

Wisdom Inquiries
Use these to gain clarity on where your advocate energy lives and where it wants to go. Journal on them, take a walk with them, or bring them to a conversation with a trusted friend.
#NotOnMyWatch — Name what’s not okay with you
Start here. Look around — at the world, your community, your family system, your work. What makes your advocate heart say “not on my watch”?
- If you were sitting in a circle and it was your turn to speak, what would come out of your mouth? Not on my watch…
- Write down your list — big world things and close-in things. No judgment on bigger or lesser. Just what’s true for you.
#OnMyThread — Clarify what’s yours to do
From your #NotOnMyWatch list, separate into two categories:
- LEAD: Things I’m here to actively lead, drive, or take action on — through my work, my community, my voice (no more than 1–5)
- LIVE: Things that are on my thread through how I live — the choices I make, where I put my money and attention, how I show up — even if I’m not the one leading it
Both are valid. Both are real advocacy. Getting clear on which is which stops the overwhelm and focuses your energy.
#NotMineToDo — Name what you care about but isn’t yours to carry
These are the things that matter to you — and belong to someone else to lead. You can support, but not own.
- What are you holding that’s actually someone else’s thread?
- Who are your people — the ones who go deep on the things you care about but can’t track yourself? Lean on them. Let them be your source instead of trying to consume everything.
Self-Advocacy — Stand for yourself too
- Where are you advocating for others or a mission — but not for yourself?
- What does impeccable self-care look like for you right now — not as indulgence, but as the resource that makes everything else possible?
- What would your inner Advocate say to you if she stood next to you right now and spoke from loving truth?
