We crafted this 3-step Power Pause to feel like a personal leadership retreat you can do right from your life, wherever you live — adapted from the cyclical strategic planning + prioritizing work we do with teams and organizations, and the leadership retreats we’ve hosted online and in person for over a decade.

    The Power Pause Process frees you from the false “work/life balance” myth. Instead we use wisdom-led models – such as the ‘whole life ecosystem’ below – that guides you to name what you need + desire, as both a human + a leader, in all the realms of your life:

    So you can gain insight and clarity on your:

    Wellbeing Foundation: “Where are the imbalances? What habits & rhythms can I reset? What do I need to be sustained?”

    Intentionally pausing after the first quarter of the year to replenish and rebalance can make a significant difference in your wellbeing + how effective and resilient you are for the rest of the year. Spot and adjust imbalances before they grow into bigger issues. Spring is the natural time to reset our habits, rhythm and practices.

    Work in the World: “What’s the best use of my energy & time? What priorities will create the best results? What can I reflow for later?” 

    Centered within, clear on your part to play, and clear on what matters most, you can be a wise steward of your time, focus, energy, and resources through this spring and summer months, so you both achieve and make progress + have space to enjoy the process.

    THE PROCESS

    The Spring Power Pause includes 3 steps, which the guidebook walks you through:

    1.REFLECT + RECEIVE Review and acknowledge your accomplishments progress, completions, stretches and impact, professionally & personally since the start of the year.

    2.RESET + REBALANCEExperience and gain insight from the “Whole Life Harmony Assessment” – reveal imbalances and see what parts of life are calling for attention. Put inspired structure in place to keep you centered and sustained.

    3.REFOCUS + REFLOWIlluminate what matters most now through end of summer – create space by reflowing projects not for now to later in the year, and set your priorities for just this next cycle, professionally and personally.

    THE OPTIONS + MATERIALS 

    You can choose to go through the creative process on your own (self-led) or if you are like many people who do better when you have intentional space held for you. We created a live ‘retreat’ space earlier in April and recorded it for you. We’ll talk you through the full process.

    Sometimes it’s just better to have someone walk you through an experience, share context and examples, provide creative inspiration, and lead you through the Power Pause step-by-step (so you can just relax and let the insights flow in).

    We’ll created and facilitate this space using a set of videos recorded from our live session earlier in April. So you can be in your own space and energy (not a big group Zoom), while also benefitting from the collective field of leaders doing the practice together.
